Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This policy explains what Plotion collects when you create an account and use the Digitizer, and what we do (and never do) with your data.
2. Information We Collect
When you register with an invite code, we store your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
The chart image you upload, the axis calibration, and every data point you place stay in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB) and are never sent to our servers. See our commitment on this in the product itself.
If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may collect standard usage data (pages visited, browser, approximate location) via cookies.
3. How We Use Information
To create and secure your account, and to verify invite codes
To send transactional email (e.g. account-related notices)
To understand aggregate product usage and improve Plotion
4. Cookies
We set one httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set its own cookies; you can disable these in your browser.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. Your account data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Cloudflare D1, hosted on Vercel) solely to operate the service.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at the address on our Contact page.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices (password hashing, signed session tokens, HTTPS) to protect your account.
9. Children
Plotion is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
